Remote CP sites need continuous, reliable power, but grid connection is often impractical or cost-prohibitive. Every connection point is a maintenance liability. Every additional piece of equipment is another thing to specify, install, and service. GPT's thermoelectric generators (TEGs) and MX generators eliminate that complexity by delivering power directly at the site, with minimal components and minimal maintenance.

TEGs produce up to 500W of DC power (or greater, for multi-TEG solutions) directly to your Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) system without a rectifier.

The MX-CP generator provides up to 2.4kW DC and connects directly to your anode, removing the need for rectifiers and additional site connections while minimizing required groundworks.

For sites with greater power requirement, the MX generator can be paired with a grid tied rectifier to provide up to 6kW of power for cathodic protection.

FOR CATHODIC PROTECTION
Because TEGs deliver DC directly to your ICCP system, they eliminate the rectifier entirely. And unlike solar-powered systems that rely on batteries and charge controllers, TEGs provide continuous power with minimal maintenance, regardless of weather or daylight.

MX-CP Primegen NEW!
GPT’s MX-CP has an integrated CP panel for the MX to rectify the output. The panel
provides up to 2.4kW of DC output with 3kW of AC power available for site loads. The
integrated panel supports simple installation with DC connections directly to the anode
and reduced groundworks.
In addition to rectifying the output, the panel includes voltage adjustment, surge
protection, supports current interruption and works with popular remote monitoring units for GPS synchronization.
MX PRIMEGEN
FOR HIGHER POWER SITES
The MX delivers up to 6.0 kVA of AC power (120/240, 120/208, or 110/220 VAC) for
cathodic protection, with capacity to serve additional site loads where needed. It replaces the need for grid-tied power at remote CP sites, with load balancing available where required.
Any existing panel designed for grid-tied CP is compatible with the MX within its rated load. GPT can also design a standalone panel to rectify and convert to the appropriate voltage and current range. The MX handles current interruptions for CP surveys without shutdown, even under intermittent loads.
