Grant County is located in a remote part of Oregon surrounded by mountains and desert-like land. The ESD in the area wanted to give the schools Internet access.

GlobalSolarHybrid

"Ice fog, dense cloud and heavy snow are the enemy of high elevation solar panels. The addition of a dependable parallel power generation system was paramount,"

- Brock Lounsbury, General Manager of JRTWave

Global Thermoelectric has spent over 30 years designing remote power generators that will not fail in some of the harshest environments on earth - we've recently applied this knowledge to solar systems. The GlobalSolarHybrid is a high-grade PV system backed by an ultra-reliable thermoelectric generator.

Global Thermoelectric understands that companies are under pressure to use greener systems to generate power at remote sites. For this reason, PV systems are appealing but not always reliable when days are shorter and snow and prolonged cloud cover occur.

Standard Models:

Global responded to customer requests by designing two standard models based on the amount of sun hours the system might receive daily when days are shortest. Developing standard models keeps the costs down compared developing custom solutions for each case. The 2000 series is designed for average solar radiation levels greater than 4 peak sun hours a day, and the 3000 series for areas with 3-4 sun hours a day.
